Founded in the 1930s, Nawrap has humble beginnings as a manufacturer of mosquito nets in the Nara prefecture of Japan. Now, Nawrap is a widely known creator of quality cloths and towels that feature the traditional Japanese weaving technique that makes them so unique. Products include towels, dish clothes, sports towels, place mats, bathmats, and even products which are 100% organic cotton.

Made in Nara, the dish cloth features a 6 layer weave that increases water absorbency and durability. Textured surface means better cleaning power while damp. Dries quickly after use. Fabric gets softer with use. To achieve softness faster, soak in hot water for 5 minutes. Avoid contact with bleach and do not put into the dryer.

The history of Nawrap is an interesting one. Founded as the Maruyama Fiber Industry Co. Ltd in Nara, Japan in 1930, the company originally produced mosquito nets. They were woven from organic cotton and hemp fabrics. While mosquito nets don’t have the same demand they once did, the weaving techniques and materials do.
That traditional mosquito net fabric has since been adapted using traditional weaving technologies, into a line of multipurpose eco cloths. This absorbent, quick-drying fabric is perfect for the home, face and body. It is high quality, durable and soft. Use and care:
Machine or hand wash.

This fabric will soften with use. You can speed up this process by soaking in hot water before first use.
Fabric may shrink slightly after washing.
Dispose of in your home compost bin when it reaches the end of its life.
